Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and others are all interested in a potential €60m transfer for RB Leipzig centre-back Castelo Lukeba.

The France international has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga, establishing himself as one of the best young defensive players in Europe.

As stated Here for your daily briefingThis has now led to teams such as Liverpool and Chelsea showing a strong interest in Leukepa.

My sources have reached out to explain that Lukeba could leave Leipzig for less than his €90m release clause, with the German side willing to accept more such as €60m.

Liverpool first looked to Lukeba In the summer and the Reds still appear keen, but they could face competition to sign the 22-year-old.

Castillo Lucaba transfer information I received this morning

My source told me: “Lukepa has a release clause of €90m, which clubs see as very high, but it is largely nominal anyway – the real asking price is more than €60m.

He added: “Liverpool loves him, but you can add Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle and Real Madrid to that list.”

Liverpool is threatened by losing Ibrahima Konate As he approaches the end of his contract, Lukiba could make sense as an ideal replacement if the Liverpool player ends up leaving.

Should Lucaba choose Liverpool or Chelsea?

Lukeba appears to be just what Liverpool need to bolster their depth in defence, but he would certainly be a significant upgrade over Chelsea’s current defenders.

The Blues need the likes of Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo to improve, while the injury problems of Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwell are a major concern.

It will be interesting to see if Lukepa ends up preferring one of these two teams, or if he will look elsewhere for his next move.
