Liverpool are reportedly preparing to invest up to €40m in a transfer for the Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu, also wanted by Manchester United.
Perhaps the Reds could make a move for a new, younger option at left-back soon, with Andrew Robertson not yet young and arguably showing some moments when he has been less reliable this season.
Dorjo appears to be exactly the type of player who could be an ideal long-term replacement for Robertson at Anfield, and an Italian outlet reports Lychee only It is claimed that Liverpool are preparing to invest €40m in a potential deal for the Danish international.
However, Man United are also known to be fans of Djoro, who looks ideal to play at full-back in Ruben Amorim’s system, so this may not be the easiest deal to pull off.

talking to Caught out Recently on United’s targets at left-back, Fabrizio Romano named Dorghu alongside Nuno Mendes as a player the Red Devils would like in the position.
“United will also look at more options – one of the players they have been monitoring and scouting is Danish national team full-back Patrik Dorjo, who can play left, right, is a very good young player and is performing very well in Serie A.
“But it is also worth noting that Lecce previously rejected proposals from several clubs from abroad in the summer transfer window.”
It would be interesting to see if Liverpool could win the race to sign Dorgubecause it’s easy to imagine that a 20-year-old might view it as the most tempting project right now.
United are nowhere near the level they ideally want to be, and it will certainly take some time before Ruben Amorim can point them in the right direction again, while Arne Slott clearly has Liverpool vying for major silverware now.
