Liverpool approved a British record for Bayer Leverkusen to attack midfielder Florian Wirez.
Multiple reports indicate that the Premier League champions will pay a preliminary fee of 100 million pounds, with 16 million pounds in potential additional jobs.
If these circumstances are met, Germany will become the most purchased by a British club ever, bypassing Chelsea with a value of 106.8 million pounds paid against Enzo Fernandez in February 2023.
Wirtz was a major member of the Leverkusen team, who won the first crown of the German League in the 2023-24 season under the leadership of Xabi Alonso, where he scored 18 times on his way to the title of best German player for this year.
This continued last season with 16 goals and 15 assists in all competitions, as Leverkusen finished second in Bayern Munich.
Wirtz is scheduled to join another former man in Leverkusen in anfield with Jeremie Frimpong already to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who left for Real Madrid.
