Leicester has separated ways with manager Ruud Van Nisstelroy after the club’s downfall from the Premier League.
The former Manchester United manager and manager was appointed at the King Power Stadium in November, but he was unable to direct the club out of danger, with a return to the championship with five games of the season to play.
He called the Dutch to clarity in his future after falling at the beginning of May, but he was forced to wait with the club, he finally confirmed his departure on Friday morning.
Leicester City Football Club and Rawd Van Nesterewi have agreed mutually that Rudd’s contract with the club as the first team manager will end immediately.

A statement to the club wrote: “Leicester City Football Club, Road Van Nesterewi, agreed mutually that Road’s contract with the club as director of the first team will end immediately.
“Rod supervised a difficult period for the club. From his appointment in November 2024, he dealt with the role with professionalism, integrity and a clear commitment to our goals, including by integrating many promising players from the club’s academy to the first team of our team.
“Ruud continues with respect and thanked everyone in the football club for his dedication and hard work, and our best wishes for the future.
“The preparation for the EFL championship season will continue with the start of the planned season on Monday 30 June.
“The first team’s training team will supervise the delivery of these plans until a new manager is appointed.
“There will be no other comment until this process is completed.”
Leicester begins its season by visiting Sheffield Winzdai on August 10.
