Les Amis, European app helps women to make friendships, is launched in New York

The formation of friendships as an adult can be difficult, especially after moving to a new city. Fortunately, modern technology is found, and more people go to applications like Bumble for Friends, Flox and TimeLEFT to form new friendships quickly.

One application called Why Amis It aims to distinguish by targeting women, transgender people and members of LGBTQ+, primarily in the mid -twenties to the early 1940s.

Les Amis use Amnesty International to pair users with similar interests and encourages them to join the local events presented in the application, such as pottery classes, book clubs, wine taste, and platees.

The former Paypal (Paypal) created the application in 2022 alongside its co-founder, EX-Google AI, after struggling to rebuild its social circle after the transition.

Now the European founder is currently publishing to the American market. It was launched in New York earlier this month.

Les Amis (French for “Friends) is designed to facilitate users to communicate with similar individuals in thinking about their area. It features a similar preparation for dating applications, where users create profiles by identifying profile images, writing a biography, and choosing from the list of interests, which include hair, gardening, yoga, martial arts and more.

The AI assistant app is called “amis”, which helps in the matching process. Every two weeks, users can participate in matching rounds where artificial intelligence connects them with a potential friend dependent on common interests. It also links them to others in similar life stages – whether they are single, married, or new in the city, or even looking to communicate with someone in a similar functional field.

Artificial intelligence determines the matches on Monday, giving users a great time to chat and coordinate metups later in the week.

In addition, the application features an exploration page for users to register in local events and experiences, such as workshops, social gatherings and recreational activities. It also launched “trips”, where users can travel in groups to destinations like Morocco, Iceland and the coast of Amalfi.

The app works on a business -based business model, with fees that vary by city. For example, the monthly fees are $ 70 in New York and 55 euros in Amsterdam. Membership includes a flexible credit system for spending on experiments, which can be spent in any city in which Les amis is available, allowing members to attend events while traveling.

For American markets, the application was presented in Austin last May, in addition to New York. Les Amis plans to expand next Boston, followed by Washington, DC, next month and Miami in October. Los Angeles launch is also on the road map.

It is important to note that there are no Les Amis events that are currently taking place in New York, but will soon be launched on August 25. The application is still in the acceptance stage and received more than 2000 requests from users in New York.
