Leicester City coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has been sacked

Leicester City faces the specter of relegation throughout the season after its promotion to the English Premier League after its success in the championship last season.

Manager Steve Cooper was recently sacked and replaced by Ruud van Nistelrooy, but that was unable to turn around the club’s fortunes.

The team currently ranks 19th in the Premier League, having won just 14 points from 22 Premier League matches with a goal difference of -25.

Club chiefs had hoped Van Nistelrooy’s appointment would be a catalyst for change, but in 10 matches so far under the Dutchman, only two have ended in wins.

Leicester City’s last defeat came against Fulham when they were beaten 2-0 and some sections of the crowd booed the manager.

Questions have already been raised about Van Nistelrooy’s future at the club, with some claiming his position could be in trouble given the level they are at at the moment.

Football critic Martin Keown is one of the people who have questioned the manager’s future and claimed he is already fighting to save his career at Leicester.

Leicester lost money by sacking Cooper and are hoping to avoid that situation.
