Former army commander Aoun – a candidate not dependent on Hezbollah and their main allies – was elected president in early January, and ended the vacuum of this position.

This announcement comes after the Middle East envoy in the Middle East, Morgan Ortridos on Friday He called for the exception of Hezbollah From the government of Lebanon, saying that Washington made its continuous presence in the cabinet “the red line”.

The American embassy for Lebanon issued a statement on Saturday, saying that it welcomes the new government and hopes to implement reforms and rebuilding state institutions.

The United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Janine Hennis Blaskhirt, welcomed the announcement that the end of the political impasse “wanders in a new and brighter chapter for Lebanon.”
