How far will you go to defy aging or even cheat death? Brian Johnson, a 47-year-old tech millionaire, is on a mission to find out. Appearing alongside his 19-year-old son Talmage in the Netflix documentary Don’t Die: The Man Who Wanted to Live Forever, Johnson revealed the extreme daily regimen he believes holds the key to immortality.

For Johnson, living forever is not just a pipe dream, but a practical pursuit. “Living forever and living tomorrow are two identical concepts. I really want to live tomorrow. When tomorrow comes, I imagine that maybe I want to live tomorrow,” he explained.

The father-son duo share a strict lifestyle that starts at 5am and ends with lights out at 8.30pm, and their daily routine includes a plant-based diet of vegetables, nuts, seeds and berries, carefully calibrated to provide 2,250 calories and 130 grams. Of protein, 206 carbohydrates, and 101 grams of fat. The workouts are an hour-long mix of strength, cardio, flexibility and balance. By bedtime, Johnson’s resting heart rate is 47-49 beats per minute.

“Talmage looks at me as his future self, and I look at Talmage as my past self,” Johnson said in the documentary. “I thought you were going to say that you view Talmage as your future self,” the interviewer quipped. “That’s true in many ways,” Johnson said with a laugh.

Beyond diet and exercise, Johnson credits “ideal sleep” as a game-changer. He adheres to strict habits: no caffeine, no alcohol, no large meals before bed, and a consistent evening ritual to wind down. “High-quality sleep changed my life,” he said, stressing its role in slowing the aging process.

Johnson and Talmage’s commitment extends to experimental practices, including a highly publicized multigenerational plasma exchange in 2023 involving Johnson’s 71-year-old father. This measure sparked debate about the lengths people will go to maintain youth.

With his strict lifestyle and his Blueprint line of nutritional supplements, Johnson aims not only to extend life, but to redefine it.
