The “Love & Hip Hop ATL” star recently dropped a heartfelt message Instagram to his youngest son, Kanon, with whom he shares Blue jasmine. Kirk Frost told his little man that the haters may be praying for his downfall, but he will never stop being a good father to him.

“I’m sorry @kannonxfrost most women want me to be a slam dunk for you. Also not being a father, not paying child support, just not being in your life at all but sorry I don’t know how to do that,” Kirk wrote.

Kirk kept it real, admitting that his younger self came into the world while his marriage to Rashida was going through a rough patch, but he still gave her flowers to push him to stay in Canon’s life. Even though the message came from the heart, people online still noticed that he took a small jab at the trolls who keep attacking Rashida for standing by him.

“You came at a time when my wife and I were having a bad season but making it work. I know… @Rashida was crucified for loving you and making sure I would still be a good father. Which I think is crazy, but since you’re asking questions, we just want to make sure you know we love you. 🙏🏽🫶🏽,” Kirk continued.

Even with the internet’s backlash to Kirk’s letter to Cannon, he’s been open about his love for his son before. Back in August, he gave fans a sneak peek into Rasheeda and Kanon’s relationship in a sweet video. In the clip, Cannon looks much younger as he sings “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” with Rashida. In the caption, Kirk gave props to Rashida for being a good woman despite everything that happened in the past.

“It’s moments like this, that you don’t see, that make me appreciate the woman you are to me in real life @rasheeda. I love you,” the reality star wrote.
