Palestinian Christians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank hold moderate gatherings that lead to Easter.

On Friday, medical sources on the island said that more than half of the losses were in Gaza City and northern Gaza, but the deadly attacks occurred through the Palestinian tape, including in Khan Yunis and Rafah in the south.

However, the Palestinian Christians in Gaza continued to hold moderate gatherings leading to Easter, amid attacks.
Speaking to the island from a local church, Ihab Ayyad said he used to gather with other retirees and visit his neighbors ’homes every year to celebrate.
“This year, we did not visit due to the complete destruction everywhere, as the (Israeli) profession forces have settled most of the homes of relatives and neighbors,” Iyad said. “Many of my relatives and neighbors have been martyred in different places. We did not celebrate because we were very sad.”
Ramiz Al -Sulalan said that he was traveling from Gaza to Bethlehem or Jerusalem for the holy week.
But now, the “atmosphere of war” is included in Gaza. He said: “The smell of death is everywhere. The smell of murder and destruction puts a lot of pressure on us.”
Hani Mahmoud from Al -Jazeera from Gaza City said that the Christian community adheres to their faith and gathered in one of the oldest churches in the world in Gaza – not in the challenge but in dedication.
He said, “In Gaza, the great Friday is the power of faith and the quiet power of those who still believe in peace even when the world around them is only a stage full of violence and death.”
West Bank violence
It also held rituals to celebrate the great Friday and Easter in The West Bank occupied.
There are about 50,000 Palestinian Christians in the region. However, the Israeli authorities require permits to travel to Jerusalem, which makes it difficult for many to join these celebrations.
Moreover, the Israeli settlers and the army attacked the Palestinian people on their land in the town of Bidia, in the Salvit Governorate in the occupied West Bank, according to the Arabian Peninsula on Friday, which reduces the celebrations.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that the Palestinian was injured in the attack.
Local sources also told the Arabian Peninsula that dozens of settlers stormed the Jabal Al -Arauma, a hill in the town of Beta in Nabuls Governorate, under the protection of the Israeli army.
The settlers are Israeli citizens who illegally live on the private Palestinian territories in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Israeli settler and military violence increased throughout the West Bank – especially in the northern region – since the war began on Gaza in October 2023. The United Nations said almost this violence. 40,000 Palestinians Since Israel began a new military operation in the occupied West Bank in January.
