The Anti -Discrimination Association revealed nearly 1,400 reports of discrimination during the 2024/25 season.
There were 1,398 reports on ill -treatment, a new record, up from 1,332 in the 2023/24 campaign.
Data shows an increase in sexual discrimination, transfobia and the abuse of faith -based treatment, while racism remains the most reported forms of discrimination.
There was a significant increase in women’s hatred, with the number of complaints increasing by 67 percent, with a rise in football for youth.
“These numbers indicate that discrimination is still in depth in the game, but the rise in abuse of football for youth must be an invitation to wake up,” said CEO of Samuel Okafor.
“No one should face hostility just for participation.
“What we see now is that fans not only report abuse, but are demanding action. There has been a clear transformation this season in how people summon sexual behavior, whether online or in stadiums, and ask football to treat them seriously like any other form of hatred.
“At the same time, it is clear that online platforms are still short. The size of the abuse is still high, and often, these officials do not face any consequences.
“Fans play their role by speaking. It is now up to football authorities, technology and government companies to show that they are listening, and behaving.”
