Foxx revealed that while he tries to stay laid back, he is very protective of his girls, especially when it comes to dating.

“I’m a little… I can be relaxed. But I can also be intense — when it comes to my daughters and the opposite sex — I can be a little more, you know, in your face,” he admitted. Daily Mail.

Foxx then recalled the time when Snoop Dogg was visiting his house, and enlisted the rapper to scare his daughter’s then-boyfriend.

“My oldest daughter, she’s married now, but when she was dating another guy, he came up to us. I actually did a background check on the guy, but Snoop happened to be there in my bed,” Fox shared.

He added: “I said to myself: ‘Snoop, there he is. Shake him!'” And Snoop comes over and says, “Hey, what’s going on? What’s happening to her? If she’s hurt, she’ll be hurt, buddy.”

Fox expressed the balance between protection and allowing his children to live their lives.

“I try to be visible from that perspective,” he explained, “but I also understand that they have to be kids. You have to allow them to, you know, have a life. And, you know, that kind of thing.”

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, married Joe Hooten in September 2024 at his home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and despite suffering a stroke the year before, the “Django Unchained” star was proud to walk his daughter down the aisle.

When Diaz, who has young children, was asked about her parenting style, she responded, “I mean, I have young kids, so it’s very different. I talk to my kids, like, ‘You know, that’s not there.’ “I know you really want it, and I understand it’s not available.'”

“But my husband always says, ‘You go from zero to 100 and so on.’ So, you know. Definitely, I have to work on it,” she added.

“I was very sick but now I’m back and I feel good,” he said. “It makes you realize that you need people who care about you and love you to help you get through it.”

The actor continued: “I didn’t remember anything that happened, so when I came back 20 days later I thought I had been pranked. It was beyond crazy.”

Fox previously spoke about his health concerns during his stand-up show “What Happened Was…”.

He revealed that he started suffering from severe headaches while filming “Back In Action” in Atlanta and was initially treated with a cortisone injection.

However, his sister, Deidra Dixon, sensed something was wrong and realized the situation was more serious than it seemed.

Fox indicated that Dixon quickly transferred him to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, where he underwent critical surgery to save his life.

At the time, the family chose to keep details of his health concerns private at the time, and Foxx didn’t reveal the full story until a month ago.

The “Day Shift” actor recalls waking up from his coma on May 4 and being shocked to find himself unable to walk. “When I woke up, I found myself in a wheelchair,” he said. “I couldn’t walk.”

Despite the seriousness of the situation, Fox was reluctant to accept that he had had a stroke.

His therapist advised him, “You have to kill the old Jimmy so the new Jimmy can flourish.”

Reflecting on this experience, Fox said: “God blessed me with money and fame, but when I forgot God, he blessed me with a stroke.”

When he returned to public life, Fox knew that humor would be key to his recovery.

“I knew I had to come back and I realized the way to do it was to be funny,” Fox told Norton in a preview of the episode. “I told so many jokes that people thought I was crazy, and then I would act like someone else — for three whole days I was Denzel Washington.”
