Dripper, who entered the championship this year as the fourth of the noble and his imagination greatly for his challenge, was presented 6-4 6-3 1-6 6-4 by the Croatian in court.

Cilic failed to play in Wimbledon since 2021 due to a serious and repeated knee injury, yet the British outperformed 13 years.

“I was very disappointed by the way my game was on the grass this year, honestly.”

“I didn’t feel a great feeling in Queens. I don’t know how I made the semi -finals there and gave myself a chance to make the final.

“This year has highlighted that I really suffer from grass. I felt satisfied on the solid field, and I was satisfied with clay. I played my game, I felt that there was not much holes, while as soon as I came to the grass I felt a big difference.

“It is just something I have to consider, and how I will develop my long -term game for the next year, only to improve a player.

“Certainly, many weaknesses have been highlighted in my game, especially against the player in the way he was playing today, a good person like him on the grass.”

“I think the hole in front of me, certainly, I was unable to deal with his pace in front of me.

“I think a lot of my success this year with my front, when I have more time, it is much easier for me because I can create the speed and rotation I want, and the effectiveness of that.

“It is clear that my movement could have been better. There are many areas of my game that I am still really, really needed to work to be the player I want to be.

“I want to feel that everything in my game is safe. I think this is what you see with the top players. They are very consistent all the time because there are no holes in their game.

“I had the last two weeks well for me to see it, although I got such amazing progress in the last 12 months, I still get a lot of areas that I need to improve in my game.

“In some respects, this is exciting, and in some respects it is difficult to deal with because I thought I was ahead of where I was.”
