GJERTBRIGTSEN, 59, was convicted of a minor assault on his daughter Ingred, 19, and he will avoid imprisonment after receiving a 15 -day suspended sentence.

During the trial, 24 -year -old Jacob Enbrgettel -Jacob Emppergestone – who won gold in the 5000 -meter race in Paris 2014 and 1500 meters in Tokyo 2021 – claimed that his childhood was young and manipulated.
Prosecutors were looking for a prison sentence for two and a half years of the defendant, who was accused of an alleged campaign for years of home abuse towards Jacob and his younger sister.
Gogert Ingbergsteen acknowledged that he was not guilty, and the court told that he was a very preventive father trying to help his ambitious children.
His lawyers said that the verdict means that “there is no evidence that he created a constant fear in his children.”

The family has gained a prominent position in the Norwegian media through the series of TV TV Documentary Films, which lasted from 2016 to 2021.

Meanwhile, a lawyer representing Jacob and Einger said they were happy that the court had believed that some of the case members.
The trial, which lasted for nearly two months, heard from a long list of witnesses – including family members, sports officials and other athletes.
Exprigtsen is now training Narve Gilje Nordas, Jakob competitor at 1500 meters.
