Long-time solar generator manufacturer Jackery is upping its rooftop game in the US with the introduction of XBC curved solar panels. Debuting at CES 2025, Jackery’s curved solar roof tiles are made of clay or obsidian, and are designed to fit some of the country’s most popular home styles. While solar panels already exist in the United States, they are the first with a wavy aesthetic. HOA bosses everywhere seem to have lost yet another excuse to prevent rooftop solar installation.
The new tiles offer cell conversion efficiencies of more than 25 percent and are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, including cold, high winds and temperatures between -40°F and 185°F. It has been designed in keeping with traditional roofing installation practices, featuring a modular setup that allows for flexible and segmented maintenance. Jackery offers a 30-year warranty on the tiles as well.
The Jackery Solar Roof system integrates with the company’s existing home solar solutions, including the HomePower Inverter, Battery, Hub and Hub Plus, Solar Generator 5000 Plus and Smart Transfer Switch Kit.
There’s no word on specific pricing or availability for the new tiles yet, though Jackery was making a big splash at CES 2025.
