Local residents and eyewitnesses say dozens of Israeli tanks and military vehicles have pushed a major residential area in Gaza City, on the second day of the Israeli land attack targeting the area.
Video footage shows tanks, bulldozers and armored personnel carriers moving on the edges of Sheikh Radwan, in the northern Gaza City. Thick smoke clouds can be considered Israeli artillery and smoke bombs to cover their progress.
The Sheikh Radwan area was home to tens of thousands of people before the war and is considered one of the most populated areas in the city.
Israel says that the goal of its attack in Gaza City is that the hostages that Hamas maintains and defeat up to 3000 fighters, in what it describes as the “last stronghold” of the group – but the operation has brought a large -scale international condemnation.
Leaders of more than 20 major relief agencies, including saving children and Oxfam, warned that “the inhumaneness of the situation in Gaza is unreasonable.”
The residents of Sheikh Radwan said that the penetration of Wednesday followed a wave of heavy air strikes targeting the main buildings and streets throughout the neighborhood, while it seemed to be preparing for the ground attack.
“The drones have not left anything. They hit the solar panels, power generators, water tanks, and even the Internet.
“Life has become impossible, and this is what forced most people to leave despite the danger.”

Sheikh Radwan includes the areas of Abu Estandar, Al -Tawat, and Al -Sayafawi, and it is intersecting with Al -Jala Street, which is a vital artery linking Central Gaza City with its northern regions.
Local residents say that Israeli control over the neighborhood can open the way for forces to advance in a deeper way to the city and reach its central areas.
Pictures of tanks in the streets of Gaza City caused widespread panic among the population, especially those who still live in the western and central parts of the city.
Witnesses said that the scene of the tanks approaching their homes performed the memories of the previous incursions, which ended with the entire surface of the neighborhoods.
The incursion into Sheikh Radwan sparked another wave of displacement, as thousands of families fled from the south.
Long lines of cars and vehicles loaded with roads were seen on roads, as the Israeli army opened a road to the south through the Ravelin Road. The population reported for hours that take hours and cost hundreds of formations due to the rare transportation and high prices.

Before the war, Sheikh Radwan was one of the busiest areas in Gaza City, and the homeland of dozens of schools, mosques and markets.
It has already been hit again and repeatedly by air strikes in recent months, and there is widespread destruction, but the scene of tanks inside the region now represents an important new stage in Israel’s terrestrial campaign.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday morning that they were He hit more than 150 goals throughout Gaza City In two days to support its land forces.
As part of its operations, the Israeli Defense Army is said to also use the old military vehicles loaded with explosives that have been adjusted to be controlled remotely. They are transferred to Hamas sites and detonated them, according to the Israeli media.

“Israeli vehicles from Sheikh Radwan, Tal Al -Hawa, as well as from Shijaya. It was a very frightening night.”
Relief groups, United Nations agencies and others say that the “humanitarian region” is expected to move to it significantly and insufficient to support nearly two million Palestinians, who are expected to be crowded.
Some who followed the army’s orders to evacuate the area say that they did not find space to showcase their tents, so they returned north.
“Daily leaflets are thrown in the United States and the evacuation request, while the Israeli army buildings are in every direction,” Munir Azzam, who is in northern Gaza, told the BBC. “But where do we go? We do not have a shelter in the south.”
