Israel has indicated that it will continue to bombing the bombing raids against Iran, while leaving it open that the military campaign can end if the American strikes show that it destroyed the nuclear capabilities of the Islamic Republic.
Israel Defense Minister Katz said on Sunday that the Israeli defense forces (IDF) still establish the impact of American strikes on Iranian nuclear installations, and that he “verified” the validity of “his country’s attack on continuing in the coming days.
Military spokesman Evi Defern also said that the Israeli Defense Army is still working according to the original “plan and targets” and preparing “to extend this campaign” if necessary. Israel, which launched its war against Iran last week, continued to hit dozens of military targets throughout the Islamic Republic.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said he could not say whether the Iranian nuclear program had been eliminated.
“I cannot say that it has been eliminated. I can say that it was severely hit, whether by Israeli attacks or the American attack completely overnight,” he told CNN.
Some Israeli officials are in particular tending to conclude the attack in the wake of American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Etishan and Ford.
A person familiar with the situation said what Israel did then on how Iran responded to the American attack, but the preference was the movement towards diplomacy.
“Israel will respond according to developments,” the person said, adding that if the fighting will end now, Israel would have achieved most of its military targets.
One of the members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the ruling, said that although there are still some goals to be achieved, “what happened tonight gives us hope that if this matter suddenly stops, the achievements will be very important.”
The person said: “In terms of the end of the game, this is somewhat dependent on the Iranians. If they are … start attacking the American bases, and the way I understand the Americans who will interact strongly, and the situation may escalate.” “On the other hand, if the Iranians try to return to the negotiating table … I think (the Americans) are ready for that.”
At the beginning of the Israeli attack on Iran 10 days ago, officials said the primary goal is to “eliminate the threat” from missile and nuclear programs in Tehran. Israel also killed about twenty senior military leaders in Iran and nuclear scientists.
Netanyahu suggested that the war could eventually lead to a change in Iran in Iran, with an uprising to overthrow the Islamic Republic, or even the assassination of its supreme leader.
But shortly after the American strikes on Saturday evening, the Israeli Prime Minister issued a statement praised by the military campaign “the emerging lion” in the past time, saying: “We have made unprecedented achievements together in Israeli history.”
Netanyahu added, “Since the beginning of the operation, you promised you that Iranian nuclear facilities will be destroyed, in one way or another. This promise has been kept.”
Israel’s continuation of the air strikes can indicate that it wants to maintain military pressure on the Islamic Republic, including amazing military targets and ballistic missile sites, where Tehran weighs its response to the raid on nuclear sites.
According to an Israeli military official, the Israeli Defense Army, on Saturday, assessed that “more than 50 percent” of Iranian ballistic missile launchers “neutralizing”. Other estimates have indicated greater damage to the same missiles and their original production capabilities. Iran did not comment on the impact of strikes.
Israeli officials also said that the campaign will not end until all Iranian nuclear sites were destroyed, but in particular, the Ford enrichment facility that was buried deep in a mountain was destroyed.
Fordo is believed to be not besieged by the capabilities of the Israeli strike, which requires the United States to deploy a 30,000-pound Punter Petra Bombs.
Trump said the three sites were “completely obliterated”, but no evidence has yet been done.
While Israeli aircraft in Iran continued, Iran launched two lists of more than 20 ballistic missiles in Israel on Sunday morning. The strikes in the central cities of Tel Aviv and Nice Ziona, as well as the northern city of Heva, have struck 20 people, according to local health officials.
