Israel says it had killed a senior Iranian leader who helped plan the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023 in southern Israel, in a strike on Saturday in the city of Nationalism.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the killing of Saeed Isadi represented a major point in the conflict. The head of the Israeli Defense Army, Eyal Zamir, said that it was a “orchid” of the attack, which killed about 1,200 people and saw many others who were transferred to Gaza as hostages.
“The blood of thousands of Israelis on his hands,” said Saturday, describing it as “tremendous intelligence and operational achievement.”
Iran has not yet confirmed the killing of Ezadi, and it previously denied its involvement in the Hamas attack.
The Israeli Defense Army said it was killed in a blow to an apartment in a people, south of Tehran, in the early hours of Saturday. He was responsible for the Palestinian weapon of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), who is responsible for dealing with relations with Palestinian armed groups.
He said that the Israeli Defense Army had had an effective role in armament and financing of Hamas, and was responsible for military coordination between senior leaders of IRGC and Hamas leaders.
In April 2024, Ezadi escaped with a difficulty of an Israeli air strike targeting the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria – an attack that killed many high -ranking Jerusalem forces.
Israel later claimed on Saturday that it had killed the commander of the other Jerusalem forces, Buinaam Shahiriari, in a drone blow while traveling in a car across western Iran.
Shahriari was responsible for transferring rockets and missiles to Iranian agent groups throughout the region, including Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
If Israeli claims are confirmed, the assassinations of Ezadi and Shahraia are a major blow to IRGC.
The attacks come at a time when the conflict between the two countries entered its ninth day, both of which launched new attacks on Saturday.
Iran said that Israel had targeted a nuclear facility near the city of Esfahan. Israel said it was targeting the military infrastructure in southwestern Iran and reported at least one impact of Iranian drones that entered the airspace.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi told Istanbul correspondents that any American involvement in the conflict would be “very dangerous.” On Friday, the European envoys in Geneva were told on Friday that Iran would not resume talks about its nuclear program until Israel’s strikes stopped.
Donald Trump suggested that we were involved in Israel’s strikes on Iran, saying that Tehran had a “maximum” for two weeks to avoid possible US air strikes if they did not negotiate their nuclear program.
Iranian officials say at least 430 people, including military leaders, have been killed and 3500 were wounded in Iran since the conflict began on June 13. A group of human rights that followed Iran, the Human Rights Activists Agency, put the lack of informal death on 657 on Friday.
In Israel, officials say 25 people were killed, including a heart attack.
