Israel attacks the main airport in the capital of Yemen SANA

The Israeli army said it was “completely handicapped”, Yemen’s airport in the capital, SANA, which is controlled by the Houthi.

Sources of multiple airports told Reuters that Tuesday’s strikes targeted three civilian aircraft, the departure hall, the orbit and a military air base. The Houthis pledged to respond.

The attack comes two days after the Iranian -backed Houthis fired a missile near Israel’s main airport, forcing it to close for a short period.

On Monday, Israel responded to hitting the Yemeni city of Hodida.

Israel launched several rounds of strikes against the Houthis in Yemen, including targeting the power and ports generation plant in January. SANA was previously attacked in December.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they attacked “air runways, aircraft and infrastructure at the airport.” He claimed that the Houthis were using the airport “transporting weapons and agents.”

The Israeli Defense Army said it also struck the power plants in SANA, which it described as a “great infrastructure for electricity supplies” for the poll, as well as the Cement Factory in the north of the city.

The Houthis have warned that the Israeli aggression will not pass without a response, nor will Yemen be discouraged from its position to support Gaza.

The Monday’s attack on Hoodhud also included strikes at a different cement factory.

The port is the second largest in the Red Sea after Aden, and it is the entry point of about 80 % of food imports in Yemen.

The Houthis said at least four people were killed and 35 were injured during a Monday’s attack.

The group blamed the United States and Israel jointly in the attack, but the US defense official told the news agency to Agence France -Presse that their forces had not participated.

The Houthi missile was launched towards Ben Gurion Airport, near Tel Aviv, on Sunday morning, next to the arrival route near the main station. Israeli emergency services said six people were injured.

After the strike, the Houthis said they would impose a “comprehensive air blockade” on Israel by targeting airports in response to Israel’s plans to expand its military operations in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged revenge on the Houthis to attack the airport, saying: “We have attacked in the past, and we will attack in the future.”
