Iran said it would not resume talks about its nuclear program during the attack, hours after the Israeli Defense Minister warned of a “long” conflict with the Islamic Republic.

The fighting took place on Friday, as Iran fired Sulfo missiles in northern Israel and Israel targeting dozens of sites in Iran.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eyal Zamir said in a video clip that his country should be ready for a “long campaign” and warned of “the coming days.”

His Iranian counterpart, Abbas Aragichi, met with European diplomats in Geneva, who urged him to revive diplomatic efforts with the United States on his country’s nuclear program.

Aragici said that Iran is ready to consider diplomacy as soon as the “aggression of Israel” stopped.

He insisted on the Iranian nuclear program, and insisted that Israel’s attacks violated international law. He added that Iran will continue to “exercise its legitimate right to self -defense.”

“He explained that the defense capabilities in Iran are not negotiable,” he said.

The Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, the accused of Iran of the existence of a “genocide” and the formation of a constant threat, adding that Israel will not stop targeting nuclear facilities until it was dismantled.

US President Donald Trump said that Iran has a “maximum” for two weeks to avoid possible US air strikes, indicating that it could make a decision before the 14 -day deadline on Thursday.

“I give them a period of time, and I say that two weeks will be the maximum,” Trump told reporters.

He said that the goal is to “know whether people come to their senses” or not.

The US President was also rejecting the talks between Aragici and foreign ministers from the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the European Union.

“Iran does not want to speak to Europe,” Trump said. “They want to speak to us. Europe will not be able to help with this.”

UK Foreign Minister David Lami said that the United States had provided a “short time window” to resolve the crisis in the Middle East, which was “risky and dangerous.”

French Foreign Minister Jean -Nula Barrot said that the ministers called on the Iranian minister to “consider negotiations with all parties, including the United States, without waiting for the strikes to stop.”

Barrot added that there could be no “final solution through the military means of the Iranian nuclear problem” and warned that it was “dangerous to the desire to impose a change in the regime” in Iran.

Israel was hit by a new tour of Iranian strikes on Friday with the Israeli army, which reported an attack that included 20 missiles targeting Haifa.

An Israeli woman died of a heart attack, as she brought the number of Israeli deaths since the conflict began up to 25 years.

The Israeli Defense Forces said they attacked the storage of ballistic missiles and firing sites in western Iran.

Last week, Israeli air strikes destroyed Iranian military facilities and weapons, and killed senior military leaders and nuclear scientists.

The Iranian Ministry of Health said on Sunday that at least 224 people were killed, while a group of human rights put informal death on 639 on Thursday.

Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles in Israel in response to air strikes.
