What forced BCCI to make the revised IPL 2025 schedule?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was suspended on May 9 for one week, and in the official announcement, the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) said that the details of the new place and the new dates will be issued soon.

This happened a day after the 58th match of the Indian Premier League 2025 between the Punjab kings (PBKS) and Delhi Aaaim (DC) on Thursday, May 8, at the Himachall Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Daramsala after only 10.1.

The match was canceled because Pakistan launched a cowardly attack on many Indian cities, including Pathancot, which is only 90 km from the Daramsala Stadium. A blackout was implemented in the city, and the players, as well as the crowd, were evacuated from the stadium.

It is worth noting that the tensions across the border between India and Pakistan arose after the Pakistani terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam and Jammu & Kashmir, killing 26 innocent people, and India launched a Singoor operation to avenge the lost lives by destroying nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Axide.

Will players abroad return to the IPL 2025?

With the reinforced IPL 2025 schedule, the largest point of attention is currently related to the return of foreign players, who have already left India.

After announcing the comment, most foreign players decided to return to their countries of origin, while there were some players who decided to extend their stay in India.

According to what was reported, the players of the Australian National Cricket team, such as Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood, will not return to the 2025 Indian Premier League. The other Australian cricket player will not be pressured to participate in the rest of the competition, as Cricket Australia offered to defend it if they choose not to go to India.

It is worth noting that BCCI is unable to do this position, as they cannot take any action on the players who cross the IPL 2025 because the contracting paragraph in power prevents individuals/parties from fulfilling their contracts in the event of an extraordinary event that exceeds their control.
