Intel attracts test chips using a new manufacturing process

San Jose, California (Reuters) -on Tuesday that many contract manufacturers are planning to create test chips for an advanced manufacturing process, which is still developing the company.

The besieged chips maker indicated that she had received attention from customers at the Connect Directing Conference on Tuesday of the contract company, or Mabek. I hit Intel to build Foundry Snags, but in the end the goal was TSMC.

Intel planned to introduce a new type of an advanced chip industry tool known as the Smooth EUV device through a manufacturing process that is still under development known as 14A, which also includes a new energy delivery technology.

Using the latest high NA machines, NA, can help make chips with fewer steps, but require some risks. Intel will still have the option to use old and installed technologies and customers will not have to change their designs.

But the use of high EUV machines NA is a reflection of one of the main strategic errors of Intel during 2010, when it refused to use a previous generation of EUV machines while TSMC was pressed in technology. TSMC has not yet been discovered when you plan to adopt high Na EUV machines to produce block chips.

Intel also said on Tuesday that it had distributed an early version of the digital design group necessary to ensure that the company can successfully convert a chip scheme into a piece of silicone.

“Up and down”

Chandricicran said the company’s 18A operation “faces up and down” as is the case with any new technology, but “the team continued to make progress.”

Chandrasekaran is expected to be able to serve customer who have great production in the 18A process in the second half of 2025.
