BVR Subrahmanyam announced on Saturday that India has officially exceeded Japan to become the fourth largest economy in the world. Quoting the data of the International Monetary Fund, Subrahmanyam confirmed this teacher during a press conference after the meeting of the Tenth Governing Council for the Tank of Political Thought.
“We are the fourth largest economy and I am speaking. We are a $ 4 trillion economy,” he said, with a highlight of upward momentum in India in the global economic system. Only the United States, China and Germany are now in the next.
Superhamaniam attributed the rise of India to the favorable geopolitical and economic conditions, and expected that India will climb to the third place during the next three years. He said: “If you adhere to what is planned to be planned and what is thought of, within 2.5 to 3 years, we will be the third largest economy.”
The economic jump comes amid strong growth across the main sectors, continuous investment flows, and government -backed industrial strategies. India was a neck and an neck with Japan in the nominal GDP for several months, but modern data confirms a final shift.
Subrahmanyam also addressed the dynamics of global trade, in response to the recent comment by former US President Donald Trump, who said that the iPhone sold in the United States should be manufactured in America – not in India or anywhere else. He said: “What the tariff will be is certain. Given the dynamics, we will be a cheap place to manufacture.”
In another major announcement, Subrahmanyam revealed that a second round of asset liquefaction and will be put in place in August, and continued the government’s efforts to cancel capital insurance and pay investment in infrastructure.
