For years until now, the Dutch authorities dismantle illegal drug laboratories that produce amphetamines, euphoria and cocaine – are often hidden in remote rural areas. But one of the least well -known consequences of this illegal industry is the extreme environmental pollution that leaves it behind. The barrels filled with dangerous materials are often thrown into the forests, fields and even protected natural reserves. Last year alone, 217 illegal sites were discovered in dumping throughout the country. France 24 from Ingrid Jerema and Lex Lu Purdon report.
