An illegal immigrant from El Salvador was sentenced to life imprisonment without the conditional release of the killing of an American mother of five individuals – in a case summoned by President Donald Trump to support his border security campaign.

Victor Martinez Hernandez, 24, this year, was condemned to rape and kill Rachel Mourin, 37, at a long -distance trail in Bill Air, Maryland, in August 2023.

He assaulted her, hit her head with rocks and strangled her before her body was hidden in a drainage course, and the court heard.

The killer was also linked to the conquest of the house in 2023 in Los Angeles and is wanted in El Salvador to kill another woman, according to the prosecutors.

He showed a little emotion, as he learned his fate on Monday.

Judge Yolanda Curtin has been sentenced to first -degree murder, life for rape, and an additional 40 years of third -class sexual crime and kidnapping. The entire sentence will be spent in Maryland prison.

He was arrested in June 2024 after a 10 -month hunt in Tolsa, Oklahoma.

“It can be said that Harford County has never seen a more issue or defender that deserves every day of the maximum judgments imposed by this court,” said public prosecutor Alison Healy outside the court.

The victim’s mother, Patty Mourin, said: “In a statement with a victim before the judgment was presented, the victim’s mother, Patti Mourin, said:” The brutality of her killing will chase us for the rest of our lives. “

The audio recordings of the children of Mrs. Mourin, between the ages of nine to 15, were played on the field.
