The Algerian fighter, IMANE KHELIF, has appealed the CAS Court of Arbitration (CAS) regarding the world’s boxing decision to ban it from its events without a preliminary genetic test.
A court statement said that an appeal by Khalif on August 5 in pursuit of a decision through global boxing that prevents her participation in the Square Cup in Eindhoven or any global boxing event until she underwent genetic sexual testing.
The appeal also seeks to announce from CAS that Khelif is qualified to participate without testing the World Boxing Championship between 4 and 14 September.
The court statement said that a request to suspend the World Boxing decision to grant Khelif until the case would be heard on Monday.
The court statement said that the written requests will be exchanged between the two parties, and the date of a hearing will be determined by their agreement.
Khelif has won a close gold -weight gold in Paris last summer to compete by the International Olympic Committee, although the International Boxing Association has banned it from the World Championships for the previous year because of its failure to meet the civilization standards between the sexes.
After winning the gold medal, Khalif said: “I am completely qualified to participate in this competition – I am a woman.
