The Brazilian Institute for the responsible gambling (IBJR) Firing A new web site can verify whether the site of bets is organized within seconds.

The all -new interactive component is part of the “No Elephant in the Chamber” campaign, which was presented this month, to enhance Combating illegal platforms.

The tool, called Betalert, will allow any user to “check quickly and easily whether the betting site that plans to use is organized by the federal government.” The technology is running behind the Betalert on a mini image that provides an interactive experience and works by the user to simply write in the URL for any bet’s site.

The tool will immediately indicate whether the basic system is licensed or otherwise. If organized, the following message appears: “Everything is good. This betting site is declared by the federal government.”

If not, the system offers an alert that reads “attention. This is not authorized by the position of betting by the federal government.”

The data concluded that 78 % of people find it difficult to distinguish legal sites from legal sites.

“IBJR is largely appreciated by the use of tools and technologies that contribute to spreading knowledge around the sector. Betalert is very important, and we hope that the Brazilian betting and society will use it widely,” says Fernando Vieira, IBJR.

“Our goal is to make sure that people can reach all the benefits of the organization, which is the essence of which is the safety of those who are betting.”

This introduction comes after the research was conducted by the Loccomotiva Institute between April and May 2025, which found that between 41 % and 51 % of the Brazilian betting market is still illegally working.
