My son’s room

My son’s favorite part of his room is the giant map that we put on one side of the wall. He loves to refer to all different sites on it. I love it because it helps to collect all our worlds in one place.

Our room

One of the most important additions we made to the apartment is the air conditioner in our bedroom. I grew up in Miami and my family from the Caribbean Sea, so I can deal with a little heat. My husband on the other hand, not much.

I also love our wardrobe, which was hand -made by my husband’s grandfather in the nineteenth century. He needed a little work to bring him back to life, so he was restored.

When we go to the market, there are a lot of high -quality ingredients to choose from. Fresh and delicious products are relatively easy and accessible here. We raise elements such as pasture eggs, milk and butter, either farms that are directly outside the city, or from the city’s farmers market.

Free time is also a serious work in Italy. An ideal example of this is evening rituals and Aperitivo traditions.

Once the working day ends, people will stop to a café to get a cup of wine and food for an hour or two. It is so culturally rooted that whenever we leave the park after school, my son “FacCAMO Un ‘Peritivo says – although he does not utter” A “.

We will go to a living place with our friends. Children get their own table with juice and potatoes, adults will sit on our table with our adult drinks, and no one looks at us like us.

I love raising my son in Milan. Having children here does not mean the end of your social life. There are a lot of gardens, exhibitions, museums and a wide range of family friendly activities.
