When a recruiter received the silicon valley Poor series Moon Suteam Barrick Work request two years ago, immediately admired.

This was two years before the young engineer in Mumbai was subjected to a distance in many startups in the Silicon Valley at the same time.

“I was looking at his CV, and his CV was so good that my CEO at that time was wandering to me and was, like, Ross, this man looks great. Let’s talk to this man,” said Russell Pombia, AI Video Startup Topaz Labs, for CNBC Make Make.

Pumbia said that Barric sent his request on the company’s profession page to obtain the position of software engineering on June 2, 2023, and that he decided to meet the young engineer on a phone call on June 12. Make her CNBC interview with Barrick with Topaz Labs via screenshots.

At that time, Parekh Synthesia AI-VIDEO, as well as the least well-known Amnesty International, Bodo.ai, was included as former employers in his CV.

Pumbia said this combination of companies made it a really attractive candidate, so the procedure of his interview with his interview.

“I remember very good communication,” Pombia recalls from the initial examination. “That was one of my first notes:” Sooh is a great communication. “I spoke with 1000 software or something like this over the past year, and they are usually not good in communication.”

Experts say that the engineer caught the reconciliation of multiple operating functions is a warning story for the “extremist” crowd, says experts, says experts.

However, during the interview, Pompea picked up some red flags that ultimately prevented him from applying in Parekh to the next round.

“I think he learned some lessons from this interview,” said Pombia.

In an interview with Technical view TBPN On Thursday, Barick admitted that it was true that he was working in multiple startups at one time and was not proud of what he did.

“Nobody liked to work for 140 hours a week, but I had to do so,” Barric said at the exhibition. “I was in very terrible financial conditions.”

Topaz Labs has not been fulfilled whether Parekh is working in the companies mentioned in his CV at that time because he did not advance to this stage of the examination process.

“Red Flags”

When Pompea tried to search the details of Parekh experience in the interview, select what he thinks is “three main problems” with his responses.

“It looked like a stunning profile, even if he was a relatively small person, but he was largely missing from the actual details of the products that were built,” said Pombia.

When he pressed him about his work for Synthesia, Parekh was mysterious. “People usually have a great detail,” Pombia pointed out.

“Never have to launch anyone because they cannot learn a new programming language … people who end up shooting have problems in situations and commitment problems.”

Pompea also monitored that the dates between Parekh’s experience in Synthesia and Bodo.ai overlap, and were not able to reach an appropriate explanation of the cause.

“He told me that he was working full time and that there was interference during his notification period … I wrote that, such a great red flag.”

Parekh’s decision to leave Synthesia was also not logical. The engineer claimed that the company was growing very quickly and a “dove” felt, according to Pompsia.

“I asked him, have you tried to go to another team or another job?” I mocked the question completely … Do not usually leave a high -ranking company because you are frustrated.

Topaz Labs requires employees to work on the site at its headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Barric distributed the details about whether he would move to Dallas and said he was in New York at the time, according to Bombia.

More strict employment operations

In early July, two years after the Pompsia Barrick interview, Suhail Duchi, the founder of the AI Stadium, moved to X to Other startups warning About the light engineer on the moon, which he said “YC (Y Combinator) and more.”

Then many of the founders of startups advanced in the Parik employment, saying they launched it after seeing the Doshi publication.

Barrick said that he began in the moonlight in this way in 2022, and the hard lifestyle means that it became “uncomfortable serial”.

He added that he “cares about these companies” and “greed was not an incentive”, despite his financial situation. He always carries a low wage, the width of the higher shares in companies.

For Pompea, it was comfortable that Topaz Labs did not rent Parekh.

“I think I was happy because we were not one of those companies that came out and we said that we rented him and we had to shoot him. I would be a person who saw him.” “However, I actually feel very bad for many of these companies, because these are the people who work in good faith.”

Pumbia said that people like Parekh are making the task of a recruiter more difficult – but also stresses the importance of strong examination.

Startups AI move quickly

As a job manager, Pompea said that soft skills such as teamwork and cooperation are of the same importance as technical skills-and sometimes rapid startups ignore these human qualities.

“What I discovered (during) the employment of Topaz laboratory for two and a half years, but also a lot of other similar companies, is that you never have to launch anyone because they cannot learn a new software language, or they cannot learn a new framework, or if there is a kind of technical problem,” he explained.

“People who end up shooting have problems with situations, commitment problems or work rate problems.”

He said that many of Parekh’s artificial intelligence has to work in “moving 1000 miles per hour”, and needs to prepare products to start within days. As a result, they may delay the background examination even after the candidate is appointed.

“Some of these startups may employ you two days after the final interview, and they are” hey, it is Thursday. Can you start on Monday? “

In the end, Pombia said that if Barric cleans his action, he would have a bright future in front of him. In fact, a number of startups that used the engineer praised his technical skills, even amid a violent reaction against him.

“I also feel bad about the child as well, as if he was a very smart child. I hope he changes and ends up with a good profession,” Bombia added.

Sooh Parekh did not respond to CNBC, making the suspension request.
