In many Indian companies, the notification period often becomes tension instead of smooth exit. Employees say it is characterized by miniature management, unnecessary escalation, and even flying threats as performance reactions.
Publishing on R/Indianworkplace Subreddit, one of the users described how his manager allegedly tried to blackmail him during his three -month notice. He wrote that what started as a small Jira ticket escalated into harassment.
After transferring the work to UAT and sharing test cases with quality assurance, he claimed that the recently promoted director to the “architect” – pressed him for publication faster, asked about his work, and finally warned that he would give negative reactions to human resources.
The user said: “Blacklation mainly,” adding that he faced human resources directly to ask whether this behavior is part of the company’s policy. He also claimed that a manager had been transferred to the toxic environment through politics and drama.
With frustration, the employee said that he is considering two types of output mail: a polite note indicating “an indisputable environment and the reverse microscopic trip”, or one stronger calling for “emptying notes for extortion” and copying the high leadership. “I don’t even care about their bad comments,” he wrote. “I have nothing to lose. But I am sorry to waste time in such an environment.”
Other Redditors advised caution. One of them pointed out, “You are asking the early dilution will make you lose some benefits. For example, earning leaves will not be placed.”
Another added, “The period of notification is that the period in your stay in a company where there is no extreme extortion. However, the concealment earlier and a year will lose it within two months of the salary, and get a vacation you can get and so on, but in terms of e -mail that will be sent, if they have done things in the future, there is no reason that makes the body should not be burned.
