I am looking for an old Egyptian gold bracelet missing from the museum

The authorities throughout Egypt are searching for a 3000 -year -old bracelet reported from a pioneering museum in Cairo.

The rare golden band, decorated with the Lazuli spherical beads, dates back to the era of King Amenemope, a pharaoh from Egypt’s twenty -first dynasty, which was ruled from 993 to 984bc.

The Ministry of Antiquities said that it had taken immediate measures after the bracelet disappeared from the Egyptian Museum’s restoration laboratory, and that the case had been referred to the police.

The ministry added that the image of the bracelet has been circulated to all Egyptian airports, seaports and land border crossings as a “precautionary step to prevent smuggling attempts.”

A specialized committee has also been formed to implement a stock and review all the artifacts kept in the restoration laboratory.

The ministry said that it was deliberately late to announce the disappearance of the bracelet “to ensure an appropriate environment for the progress of investigations,” but it did not mention when the jewelry was seen last time.

The Egyptian newspaper, Al -Misiri, reported that the disappearance was discovered in recent days, as the museum employees were preparing to charge dozens of handicrafts to Rome in an exhibition that is scheduled to open next month.

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East. It includes more than 170,000 artifacts, including the gynecologist.

The disappearance of the bracelet comes six weeks before the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in the nearby Giza, where the famous treasures were transferred in the tomb of King Totkhhamon and will be shown.
