Hundreds of North Korea forces were killed while they were fighting Ukraine, Seoul says

South Korean lawmakers said on Wednesday that about 600 North Korea soldiers were killed in fighting for Russia against Ukraine from 15,000 soldiers.

Legislators said North Korea has suffered from about 4,700 victims so far, including injuries and deaths, although its forces showed signs of improving combat capabilities for six months by using modern weapons such as drones.

In exchange for sending troops and providing weapons to Russia, Pyongyang seems to have received technical assistance to spy satellites, as well as drones and anti -air missiles.

“After six months of participation in the war, the North Korean army became less insufficient, and its combat ability has improved significantly as he used to use new weapons such as drones,” said Lee Seong Coyon, a member of the Parliamentary Intelligence Committee, after reviewing the South Korean National Intelligence Service.
