HP unveils a range of AI-powered desktops and laptops at AMD/Intel events at CES

HP Intel announced a number of new computers dedicated to artificial intelligence and gaming during the Advanced Micro Devices and Intel press events in Consumer Electronics Show 2025 today.

It’s another sign that AI is becoming pervasive across computing and that the AI-powered PC is one of the strongest production lines at the major technology trade show in Las Vegas this week. HP again Play on the field with a wide range of instruments across many categories.

Artificial intelligence laptop

On the AI ​​PC side, HP unveiled the HP EliteBook Ultra G1i, the next generation of AI PCs.

The device features a slim profile and a next-generation AI processor capable of 48 TOPS (Artificial Intelligence Performance Index). HP said it is setting the standard for clarity during video calls with the AI ​​features of Poly Cam Pro and a new 9-megapixel camera. You’ll be able to easily make yourself heard and hear others with dual microphones and studio-quality quad speakers.

It also has a haptic clickpad that provides customizable haptic feedback. You can use different pressure levels to control features and gestures to automate actions on a 100% clickable surface.

The device features the latest generation Intel Core Ultra processors designed specifically for AI software. It has three compute engines to manage AI workloads, improve video conferencing and allow advanced content creation. Uses Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 processors with NPUs.

The laptop starts at 2.63 pounds and has a 14-inch UWVA display with a 2888 x 1800 resolution that is non-touch. It uses Intel integrated graphics and has up to 16GB or 32GB of LPDDRX main memory. It has storage options of up to 1TB or 2TB and runs at 65W.

HP also has a series of other AI-powered laptops aimed at business customers. These include the HP EliteBook Ultra G1i 14-inch next-generation AI PC notebook, the X Flip G1i and the X G1i.

Small desktop AI workstation

Among the announcements is the HP Z2 Mini G1a Workstation desktop, a compact workstation that HP says will deliver transformative AI performance.

This is an AI computer that can be used to do 3D design and render graphics-intensive projects or work locally on LLMs. It contains the AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro processor that AMD announced at the exhibition. It has up to 16 CPU cores, 128GB of unified memory and the ability to allocate up to 96GB of RAM for the GPU. It can handle AI-enhanced or graphics-heavy projects natively. About five of these units can fit in a 4U rack.

You can get up to 50 TOPS locally on the NPU. The Z2 also contains 60% recycled plastic, 20% recycled steel, 100% sustainably sourced outer box packaging, and is EPEAT Gold Climate+ rated.

Another interesting laptop is the HP ZBook Ultra 14-inch G1a laptop.

It’s thin, battery efficient, and packs the just-announced AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro processor with 16 desktop-class CPU cores, discrete integrated graphics, and 128GB of unified memory. This device can also allocate up to 96GB of RAM to the GPU and reach 50 TOPS with its NPU.

On the peripheral front, HP unveiled the HP 400 Quiet Wireless Mouse, the Poly Voyager Legend series, the wireless keyboard and the HP 720 Wireless Rechargeable Multi-Device Mouse.

On the desktop front, HP unveiled the HP OmniDesk desktops (equipped with Intel and AMD processors) and the HP OmniStudio The latter is a 27-inch AI-enabled all-in-one desktop with Intel processors.
