Apple released iOS 18.2 In October, more than a month after the technology company launched iOS 18.1. iOS 18.2 introduces some new features Apple intelligence Features for some iPhones, however iOS 18 It also gives you more ways to customize your iPhone. The operating system allows you to customize your device Lock screen and Home screenIt allows you to turn home screen apps into widgets and easily resize those widgets.
In previous iOS versions, you had to delete the widget if you didn’t like its size. After deleting it, you will have to go through the whole process of choosing the right size, adding it to your screen and then finding the right place for it. Now, you don’t have to take those extra steps and you can resize your widget right away.

Here’s how to add and resize widgets from your Home screen in iOS 18.
How to add widgets to your home screen
Long press on the app until the menu appears. Next, you’ll see some new tiled icons in the form of different widgets.
Some apps, like Weather, offer four different size options: the app icon, a small tile, a longer tile, and then a large tile that looks like a full page. Other apps, such as Contacts, will only display the tile icon and another tile option. Click on the size widget you want to try and your app will expand on your home screen in real time. Some apps, like Messages, don’t have widgets, so you won’t see these options.
Before iOS 18, you had to long-press on your Home screen, then tap the plus sign (+) Sign in in the upper right corner of your screen, then find the appropriate tool. Now you can easily add widgets without searching for them.
How to change the size of widgets on your home screen
You can also change the size of widgets in the same way. Long press on the widget until the menu appears, then select the widget size you want to try.
If you arrange your apps a certain way around your home screen, adding or changing the size of widgets will likely disrupt your custom layout. Unfortunately, I didn’t find a way to lock custom app layouts, so you may have to rearrange your apps again after adding or resizing a widget.
