How Pixel Camera 10 led me to better pictures

If you look at the camera roll on your phone, what kind of pictures do you find? I see pictures of my friends, pets, individual receipt of work expenses and coffee clips – hey, I was Parista for 11 years! Not every picture aims to compete with ANSEL Adams. (Although I am sure if he has a file Smart phoneHe would have taken pre -approval from parking places to remember the place that his car stopped.)

If you want to take better pictures of your phone, Google has added a new tool to Pixel 10 Cameras that can help enhance your skills. Camera Coach is run by Gemini Ai and provides step -by -step instructions for different technologies: how to improve your framing, define the right lens and even phone contract. Gemini does not change any of the images, but it is just a guide, which makes you do all the work.

What is great to learn in this process. While artificial intelligence is everywhere, it is good to see Google used Gemini as an educational tool.

I haven’t seen a feature like the camera coach on any other phone. To test if this is a way to circumvent AI or anything you were using more than once, I took it throughout the streets of San Francisco. I went out with a lot of great pictures that I say are guards.

When there is a man standing and head inside a bell, you will not need a lot of guidance to get a good picture. The camera coach helped me improve my framing for a really great shot.

How to use the camera coach

Camera coach works on these phones:

  • Pixel 10
  • Pixel 10 Pro
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL
  • Pixel 10 Pro Fold

In the camera application, framing your topic, and before clicking the shutter button, click on Camera coach Pray in the upper right (camera icon with plural mark). After that, an overlapping appears where your scene is wiped and analyzed. Gemini offers objective suggestions for your training. You choose one and then have distinctive directions about what to do. Finally, you work on your way during each step until you take the picture.

A series of screenshots that display Pixel 10 camera coach

This is a series of screenshots that you took at the front of the camera coach’s interface and topics and some of the steps you have taken.

I was in a café and wanted to take a Latte iced photo. After clicking on the camera coach button, I received the message “Find some options”. Next, I can choose from many topics such as “iced coffee up” and “coffee and table drink”. There was even Rakan A button if I don’t like the options. I am independent Get inspirationWhich has presented artistic topics such as “wooden table texture with drink” and “a wide view of the cafe.”

After choosing the theme of the wooden table and drink, I received a message that Gemini was “preparing indicative steps”.

I made my best to follow every step. The first asked me to switch to put the image. Blue oval about Pain Show me the click button. Once I did, I pressed the arrow to see the next step. After a few steps, “Take the Photo” was finally welcomed. Once I finished, I took advantage of x A button to close the camera coach.

The interface after taking a slightly complex photo. The image of the photo you’ve just was at the head of the camera lens. To get out of the camera coach, there is X where the mini image was to take the last picture that you usually taken. Since the process of using the camera coach is largely slow, this does not mean this to photograph fast -moving themes such as sports.

Otherwise, it is incredibly easy to use. I like how to explain every step “why” behind it. If I am asked to enlarge, I also explain how it will make my topic more prominent in my image.

If you do not like Gemini, you can always save your camera lens. The Get Inspired option provides more artistic approaches, such a narrow, narrow image that I took from a person wearing sunglasses with a statue reflected in the lenses.

I used the Camera Coach’s Get Coach option and has been steadily guided by how to get this wonderful and dramatic snapshot of a pair of Ray-Bans that reflects a statue soon in the lenses. I also had a very patient theme.

Camera coach results

I am happy with most of the photos I took under the instructions of the camera coach. Some of them are slightly different approaches than I usually bear, others from new views for me. Regarding the identification of topics and scene in the camera lens, Gemini has a decent work. Nevertheless, once from time to time, it explains things completely incorrectly, as when he said that the ginger root basket was a basket of peach.

Sometimes, the steps you go through to take a picture appear to be at odds. When I was taking a white building photo with palm trees, he wanted me to reformulate the image so that the car was not parked at the foreground. But then, he made me the next step go out to show more white building, which brought the car back to the shot. I felt that I was trying to make lasagna, and the trends I were following were two different recipes. Fortunately, this only happened at some time.

This image was the result of choosing to get inspiration. It made me feel enlarged in 40x in the Mission High School that was strengthened by Zoom Pixel 10 Pro Pro RES.

The camera coach made me approach this Boganville factory and focus on one of the flowers (right right).

In this snapshot, the camera coach made me approach my topic, use the photo position (who did a great job with curls) and put some sculpture that was standing in front of him in the shot.

Patrick Holland/CNET

This is one of my favorite families with the camera coach. It took a lot of effort to follow the instructions, which wanted me to take a car on the right side (you can still see the bumper at the frame).

Is it the art if there is at least a single image of a vessel of fruit? The camera coach helped me find a great angle that removed many other deviations of the show.

Patrick Holland/CNET

The camera coach cannot improve the topic. This beautiful old capture was in the shadow, and despite the best advantage efforts to help me framing it, I could not overcome the fact that the pick -up was illuminated.

Patrick Holland/CNET

The camera coach helped me experience “two -thirds” in this picture of the San Francisco horizon. The peaks of the buildings cross the upper third of the image, and cross the palm trees in the bottom of the bottom.

This was another inspired image. I tend to take another step and turn it into a black and white image.

Things to know about the camera coach

After using the Pixel 10 Pro camera for 10 days, I learned that she had some strong and hateful preferences.

Camera coach hates shadows

If you have a strong shadow in your image, this will suggest this reformulate the image to remove it. This is a great thing in those moments in which your shadows may enter your ethics on a sunny day, but he felt the aggression at times. For example, in the photo below for a service truck, the camera coach wanted to compose a shot so that the shadow of the truck does not appear. But the only way to do this was to stand in the traffic on the other side of the car. No dice.

The camera coach did not like the truck’s shadow in this shot. We look at it now, agree.

Camera coach does not like parked cars

I live in San Francisco, and there are many parked cars on the street. Most of the time, I was told “removing the car” that was in the frame. Get it, the camera coach wants you to prevent the largest possible number of deviations. Most of the time, I managed to move a few feet and re -increase the phone until the car was outside the frame. But sometimes, there is not enough space to reach a position and change the composition.

The camera coach wants to reduce deviations in your photos, especially parked cars.

The camera coach is not fast

You should not use this to take a picture of your children or your pets unless they are asleep. The camera coach takes a few seconds, sometimes longer, to wipe your composition and make recommendations. It seems that part of this is affected by the strength of your internet connection.

After choosing the pattern you want from recommendations, it may take from 5 to 10 seconds to complete the steps. Sometimes, it will take close to one minute before I get a “Take the Photo” router. So the camera coach is not designed for that time when you want to get a quick shot with a dog hanging from a passing car window.

But this slow can be nice. I really allowed me to pay attention to training and thinking about how I wanted to take a picture.

The camera coach will not be useful in many situations. I had to document this dog adorned with his claw hanging a car window. I had missed the shot if you had used the camera coach.

Camera coach cannot access all cameras or situations

It is great to see that the camera coach can be used on all rear cameras and even with the Pro -RES enlargement on Pixel 10 Pro/10 Pro XL. But he does not work with a personal photo camera.

I like it recommends changing conditions, and a few times that made me turn into a photo position, for example. But she cannot reach it all. When I was taking a snapshot of the San Francisco horizon, I walked to me during the steps to take a panorama image, but it will not allow me to use a panorama. What is the difference? Before phones and programs such as Photoshop, the panorama was a picture of a wide width and a large width rate. Panorama placing on the pixel can create great panoramic images by “sewing” together a series of pictures and mixing them together.

When the camera coach wanted to take a panorama image, I went naturally to choose this situation but I couldn’t. I think the two interactive facials do not play well together. As the camera coach ignored, hold this picture with a panorama on the phone and I was very much.

I couldn’t take this picture with the camera coach. She also had to reduce the image a little to include it in this story.

Pixel 10 camera ideas are a final camera

Google has done incredibly making the camera coach an easy -to -use tool. The main audience is not professional or amateurs, but people who enjoy taking pictures and want to learn more about technology. I can see amateurs becoming lovers of photography after using the camera coach for some time.

As a person who got the first camera of the sixth and worked as a professional photographer in adult years, I found that the camera coach was a nice reminder of the basics. He forced me to be more thinking and intentional about the pictures I take.

Angel Adams will not become the next with the camera coach, but this made me appreciate his work and the techniques he used to create beautiful pictures before the era of artificial intelligence-always with movies, large cameras, a lot of lenses and triple spirits.
