Local hospitals said that more than 80 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire through the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to most of them in Gaza City.

Women and children were among at least 20 years who died when they hit a strike and a building, which resulted in the accommodation of displaced families near the Firas market in the Daraj Central neighborhood in Gaza City overnight, according to the first respondents.

The Israeli army said it hit two Hamas fighters and that the number of victims was not in line with its own information.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks and forces continued to advance in the heart of the city, which Israel says was the last stronghold of Hamas.

The army said that the attack on the ground aims to secure the release of hostages who are still maintained by Hamas and ensuring a “decisive defeat” of armed Palestinians.

Hundreds of thousands of population have fled so far the largest urban center in Gaza, where the famine was confirmed last month by an unaccounted body. But hundreds of thousands of others remain in terrible humanitarian conditions, with the collapse of health and other basic services.

In a separate development, US Special Envoy Steve Whitkov said that President Donald Trump presented a “21 points of peace in the Middle East and Gaza” to a group of Arab and Muslim leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.

Witkoff did not provide any details about the plan, but he said it had “Israeli concerns as well as all the fears of all neighbors in the region.”

“We hope, and I may even say that in the coming days we will be able to announce a kind of penetration,” he added.

Hospitals in Gaza City said on Wednesday afternoon that they had received bodies of more than 60 people who were killed by Israeli Israelis and shooting since midnight.

The Hamas Civil Defense Agency said that a third of the deaths were the result of an Israeli strike on a warehouse shelter from the displaced near the Firras market, and that six women and nine children among them were.

International journalists, including those from the BBC, were banned by Israel from entering Gaza independently, so it is difficult to verify the reports.

But video clips from the scene showed that people remove a corpse wrapped in a blanket of the ruins of the devastating building.

Mohamed Hajjaj, whose relatives were among the dead, told the news agency to Agence France Presse that the site was “heavy shelling” while people were asleep.

“We came and found children and women to tear them. It was a great scene,” he said.

Other photos showed that people sad at least six bodies in white covers and plastic bags placed on the ground outside Al -Ahly Hospital.

One of the women, Tala El -Din, said that four of the bodies were her sister’s husband and two children, as well as her sister’s father.

When he was asked to comment, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was “hitting two Hamas terrorists.”

He added, “The Israeli Defense Army is aware of the claim related to those in the region, yet the number of victims is not in line with the information kept by the Israeli Defense Army.”

Elsewhere in Gaza City, witnesses reported the vision of Israeli tanks in the southwest of Tal Al -Hawa and the northwestern neighborhoods.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said on Tuesday that the Israeli military vehicles were stationed outside the Melieh Hospital in Tal Al -Hawa, and that their oxygen station had been damaged and was removed from the Israeli shooting.

The Israeli Defense Army said on Wednesday that “no strike was made directly towards the hospital,” and that the circumstances of the accident were under review.

Separately, the Israeli Defense Army issued air footage that Hamas fighters opened fire from inside the Shiva Hospital complex in Rimal a few days ago.

Reuters cited a security official in Hamas as saying that “criminal gangs” had opened fire in the hospital from outside the complex.

Hundreds of thousands of residents of Gaza City fled the Israeli attack

During a visit to Gaza City on Wednesday, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Army, Lieutenant General Ayal Zamir, said that she “operates in the Gaza Strip with a large number of forces, with a focus on the amazing Gaza City to find conditions to release the hostages and defeat the decisive enthusiasm.”

The general also stated that “most of the Gaza population has already left Gaza City, and we transport them south for their safety.”

He added: “I invite the residents of Ghazan: the rise and separation from Hamas – it is responsible for your suffering. War and suffering will end if Hamas will release the hostages and abandon its weapons.”

Hamas military wing warned against the Israeli Defense Army that expanding its operations in Gaza City will be exposed to 48 remaining hostages, about 20 of them believed to be alive.

The Israeli media indicated to the Israeli Defense Army as saying that about 700,000 residents have been evacuated so far to southern Gaza since the announcement of the attack plans last month.

However, the United Nations and its human partners said that they only monitored 339,600 people crossing the south as of Tuesday.

They also previously warned that the “humanitarian area” that was designed by the Israelis for the displaced in the Malassi is already crowded and unsafe.

Thier Sakr, a resident of Gaza City, said that he tried to travel south of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood on Tuesday with his wife, children and sister.

“The tanks on the coastal road … I opened fire on us, and my sister was killed,” he told AFP.

He said they are now at the Shiva Hospital and will not leave, even if they all kill us. “

On Tuesday, the United Nations Human Rights Office denounced the Israeli Defense Army’s tactics in Gaza City, saying that there was a sharp increase in the number of civilians who were killed in Israeli attacks and that targeting civil infrastructure and the destruction of homes “made it possible that the displacement is always.”

The Israeli authorities, including the Defense Minister, also criticized Katz, for threatening to destroy Gaza City if Hamas does not agree with the demands of Israel.

“Such tactics and data seem to aim to inflict terrorism and fear among civilians and force them to leave northern Gaza.”

The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others took hostage.

At least 65,419 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health in the region.
