SouthWest Airlines is preparing all Boeing 737 aircraft with a new technology aimed at improving safety on the corridors.
HoneyWell Aerospace Technologies has announced that Smartrunway and Smartlanding via the Honeyweell proximity have already been activated on more than 700 aircraft in the southwest.
“Smartrunway and Smartlanding helps in increasing the circumstantial awareness of the flight crew during the taxi, take off and land with audiovisual alerts and enhance stable methods,” Haniole said in a press statement. “It is proactively to the pilots when they move very quickly, fly very high or are directed towards the wrong amphitheater, which helps break the series of events that may lead to runway accidents.”
