Herromosa Oracawa became the second boxer who dies of brain injuries that were injured in the same event in Tokyo.

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) announced the death of Japanese boxer Uricawa at the age of 28 on Sunday after a seizure with Yoji Saito on August 2.

This happened days after Shigitushi Kotary, who fought a tie with Yamato Hata on the same card in Tokyo, died due to injuries in his brain.

“WBO mourns the death of the Japanese boxer Heromasa Urakawa, who died tragically for the injuries he sustained during his battle against Yuji Saito on August 2 in the Korakwain Hall in Tokyo,” said WBO.

“This sudden news comes a few days after the death of Shigitushi Kotary, who died of wounds suffering in his battle on the same card.

“We expand our deepest condolences to families, friends and Japanese boxing society during this incredibly difficult time.”

Lightweight Awrakawa fought 14 times as a professional (10-4, 7KOS), while Tokyo weighing a 12-seizure (8-2-2, 5kos).

The Japanese Boxing Committee has since announced that all the battles of the Eastern and Pacific title will be reduced from 12 rounds to 10 rounds.
