Adel Rashid believes that the new Captain Harry Brook in England can deal with the “difficult” balance between the test obligations and the white football captain.
The Cricket Board of England and Wales announced last month that Brock, 26, will replace Jose to Petr as the ODI and T20 commander.
Rob Ki, director of the Cricket game for men, acknowledged that this role for Brock “came at a little more early”, with a huge year of red cricket game on the horizon with a series of five tests with India this summer, followed by a long ashes.
However, before Test on Thursday time against Zimbabwe, who followed him days after the Odi series with West Indies, BROK was supported to die by a team teammate from the international and local scene.
Rashid said: “I am sure that he is ready, but when someone takes over the captain, it is not overnight.
“In the superior charger (northern), he achieved a good performance and has a real positive mindset. It is calm but this is also a good thing because he has this respect in the dressing room on and outside the stadium.
“I am sure he will be a very good leader and move forward, and he will do the wonders of Crikat in England.
“It will not take it lightly. It is clear that there is a lot of thinking that he went to seize the captain of the ODI and T20S team. It is a great task, it’s a big thing but they gave him because he believes it could be.
“We all believe that he could be the leader and captain of ODIS and T20. It will be difficult (to achieve balance), but I am sure that he got the ability, mentality, hunger and leadership to do so and the leadership of England to win and world cups.”
The veteran Rashid aims to be a major figure
Rashid, despite reaching 37 years in February, is ready to be a major figure in the era of the new white ball in Brock and the lead coach Brendon McCulum.
The veteran consisting of 292 international matches produced solid screens if not amazing in the disappointing champions Cup in February, but it is determined to help England to return to the right track before the World Cup next year.
“Yes 100 percent I look forward to it. It is a new era, with a new captain and new faces as well, so we look forward to it,” unlike Rashid.
“BAZ MCCULUM is coming, this will be the first time that he trained at home as a head coach in England. An exciting challenge, a new era and looks forward to that.
“The next task we got is the 2026 World Cup. We build this towards that and make sure we get to that stage, we are ready.”
