“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” ended in the third season, and the show is still amazing. Her designs did a great job in exploring every person from the main characters of the series throughout the season, giving them all small arches that were explored from the beginning of the third season to until their conclusion. Captain Pike (Anason Mount), in particular, got great romantic chips in Captain Patel (Melanie Skoviano), while Iricika Ortigas (Melissa Navia) had to wrestle with a Nuba from PTSD. Although some may not like the amount of romance that Spok lived (Ethan Beck), I feel that it has been dealt with with tact. However, there was a tune issue worth discussing.
Throughout her race so far, “Worlds Strange New Worlds” has crushed into a cross “crisis of the week.” This, among other things, allowed this series to wave violently in a tone. One of the episodes may be a horror story on the old ghosts that owns the crew of the institution, while another may involve the institution that is swallowed by a huge ship that appears to be escaping from the issue of heavy metals magazine. Likewise, several episodes of the show were an explicit comedy, spreading social embarrassment and romantic misunderstanding.
In fact, if we looked back during the third season, it was three of the 10 straight comic episodes. In the episode “Wedding Bell Blues”, the god of Impish (Rhys Darby) and Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) compels to believe that they are in love. Likewise, in the episode “A Space Adventure Hour”, ” The Foundation has been re -created on Holodeck The mystery of the eccentric killing. Then there were “four and a half of Volcan”, a picnic in which four human crew members were transferred to Volcan, which led to the embarrassment of Zany. One may count the elements of “The Sehlat that ate” as a comedy, where Engineer Pelia (Carroll Ken) forced the connection of land phones to the institution’s communication systems.
These episodes are all fun, of course, but one may notice that the whole third of the third season ended up comic. Really, it seems as if “strange new worlds” pushed the line when it comes to the amount of comedy that you may be able to deal with.
More than a quarter of strange new worlds is comedy
This does not mean that the “Star Trek” privilege should not include humor. Far from that, “The Original Series” was characterized alone by many excellent comedies that are now classic. There was a “beach vacation”, which witnessed Starfleet officers interacting with samurai, knights and white rabbit from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. and Then there was a “problem with Tribbles”, “ A loop characterized by an eccentric infection of the Fur balls. She included HECK, even “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” comedy rings from time to time. “Next Generation”, for example, about the members of the Foundation’s crew to “Robin Hood” for the “QPID” episode, while the episode “Get Me to Holosuit” took a break from the Terse Wartime drama on “Deep Space Nine” to collect the display characters together for the castle of the castle.
No, a comedy has its place in “Star Trek”, and it is good that “Worlds Strange New Worlds” has courageously tried a fairy tale episodes, Swap rings in the body and musical rings. The tone of “strange new worlds”, compared to the other “Star Trek” series, which was mixed with unbearable lightness, so it is not inherited to be dedicated to several multiple episodes of Ashaniangan that includes love, page, and even. Cross with comedy at the workplace “Star Trik: Lower Floor”.
The problem is that we are now dangerously close to “strange new worlds” we are wandering from being a scientific presentation with comedy elements to being a comic show in the world of science fiction. In fact, it seems as if the series crawls more and more than Seth McFarlane “Star Trek” Showed “The Orville” with every passing episode. Ironically, “Orville” went in the opposite direction, as he crawls more and more than “Star Trek” with a straight face and away from its comic origins. At this stage, “Orville” and “Worlds New Worlds” mainly have a Venn overlap.
There is not a lot of comedy on “strange new worlds” … but we are this point away.
Comedy Star Trek episodes are better when they are rare
It should be noted that from the 1960s until mid -2000, “Star Trek” offers have been made mostly in 26 seasons. They ran weekly from autumn – usually starts in September – the next May. Their book had to reach dozens of stories and tend to adhere closely to an accidental structure, as it was more friendly to the Syndication deals. When there were 26 episodes annually, it was advisable to have three or four comic matches in this mix, as it allowed a routine rest. “Star Trek” franchise tends to be cruel and professional, and the masses usually see when they are around the clock, which holds a championship. The mood was official and smart.
Comedy rings, then, have become exceptions to “take your hair down” to the base. Trekkies tend to love for this particular reason. They were unique to their scarcity.
But the modern “Star Trek” series – any broadcast shows that have been shown for the first time since 2017 – have shorter seasons. With only 10 episodes every time, “Worlds Strange New Worlds” has a much lower time limit to playing around and stories. After three seasons, in fact, “Strange New Worlds” exceeded the number of the episode for one season of “Star Trek” before 2017. More than that, there were eight strange comedy episodes of the show so far, which is close to a third of its episodes.
Basically, when comedy rings become common, no exceptions to the base. In order to be clear, the most humorous episodes of “strange new worlds” so far were to a large, good, good, and good manufacturer. But they were singing loudly if there were 16 additional fictional episodes in one season. Trekkies like comedy, but we definitely press the wall.
“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” flows on Paramount+, with the expectation of the first show in the fourth season in 2026.
