The widow of Graham Thorpe, Amanda Thorp, opened Sky Sports in the disease of the former cricket player in England, and the battles he faced and supported the confidence of the cricket players for her family.
Thorpe, 55, died on the morning of August 4, 2024. His widow Amanda later said he had taken his life.
He concluded that there were “failures” in providing the care of the former Cricket player in England in the months before his death when the pathologist recorded the conclusion of the suicide in his achievement.
An investigation into the Sari Coroner court in Wuking heard that he “went up to depression” after he lost his job as a coach beaten in 2022, and tried to take his life on another occasion.
Detective Jonathan Stevens said in the investigation that the last time Mr. Thorp was seen by a health care professionals on March 26, 2024.
The former left Sari was famous as one of the best English players in his generation, playing exactly 100 tests and scored 16 centuries before his retirement in 2005. He led England on three occasions and served in various training roles for his country between 2010 and 2022.
Along with their daughters, Kitty and Emma, Amanda opened even Sky Sports In Thorp’s life and how he lost his job as a coach in England in the wake of Ashis’s 2022 tour of Australia to the deterioration of his health.
“Loss of job was brutally for Thorpe”
Thorpe lost his job after a video clip of the police to close a drinking session late at night with players from both teams in the Australian media.
Amanda Thorpe said: “He did his best throughout the tour, he was disappointed with how the results were wise,” said Amanda Thorp. “Upon arrival at the end, some drinking came out late at night with the opposition, which is normal at the end of the tour.
“Everything with long things … they had to tell them to go to bed or anything else, but he had a Hi-Vis policeman came with thinking,” Oh, we are here. “
“So he took a video about it, a really kind of thinking,” This is what we are dealing with here, “a kind of things. He sent him to two friends and passed them to someone, and ended up Sydney Morning Herald.
“He faded completely from it. It is very special, so it is different from its registration. For me, this indicates that it was not in the right mind.
“But this was a terrible event. He felt dismay. He apologized to all the players. So it is certain that he returned … not a good note, not a good way to finish the round.
“Obviously he lost his job. He didn’t see it coming and it was very difficult for him. He was very brutal. He really felt that he was not actually sitting. He was not great before but he was escalating after that.”
It was a situation that Thorpe adhered to and his daughters saw it became more closed as a result.
“We have noticed a difference and there were times before, completely noticeable, but we didn’t always talk about it. It was a little more conservative, not to do a lot,” said Emma Thorp.
Kitty added: “He could not really leave it and could not overcome the fact that he lost his job. He saw that he was also a tremendous failure. He was in his head a lot, and he felt that he would let us down.
“It is not only. I feel that this is a common approach to people who lose their jobs, especially demographic. Being a male, mid -fifties, after working in a company for a long time as well. I think it was a very big and mental change, I don’t think he was dealing with everything, which we can notice a lot.
“Its energy, even at home only, really changes the entire atmosphere, and it was terrible.”
How did you help the Cricket players the Thurab family
The Thorb family explained how the confidence institution helped Graham’s cricket and their disease through his illness.
Amanda said: “He was under the auspices of psychologists in mental health from the European Central Bank and had a few remaining counseling sessions when he finished them.
“But he mocked, he became much worse. We were fighting and did not really know what to do. Then, unfortunately he mixed some medications to anxiety with alcohol. He hurt himself, he lost his life almost.
“After that, it was the confidence of PCA and Crickesters’ for us.”
Kitty explained: “They came to us and they have somewhat helped collect the threads together. They have provided another help there, because even searching for them was outside our capabilities at that time,” Kitty explained.
“They offered my father a six -week residential place in the patient.
“He also made a lot of physical therapy. A mixture of them was really good and certainly came out of it with some new ideas.”
The Charitable Society also guaranteed that Thorb’s daughters have been able to reach advice for himself since his death, which he said both were with great help to them.
The confidence of the Cricket players is the leading charitable institution in sports, which works with the Professional Cricket Association to support health and the luxury of the current and former cricket players and their families when they need it more.
