Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt shares his insights into his meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and whether California will elect a Republican governor.
A group of Republican governors met with President-elect Donald Trump for dinner at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney the meeting was “fantastic” and Republican State governors are being “consolidated” under Trump.
“Trump was amazing,” Stitt explained. “The energy this guy has. He was with us until 10 p.m., and I knew he was in Washington, D.C., for President Carter’s funeral earlier in the day, but I was very optimistic about America.”

He continued: “I’ll tell you this, the American people are excited for President Trump on January 20 because of safe communities. We’re finally going to see border security, we’re going to see energy dominance… so we’re really excited, all the Republican governors are united.”
Among the attendees were conservatives Ron DeSantis from Florida, Fox News confirmed that Brian Kemp of Georgia, Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, and Kim Reynolds of Iowa.
Before the president-elect’s dinner, he spoke to Fox News’ Peter Doocy during a news conference and praised the “extraordinary” work the group had accomplished.
“This is a group of people who have done a great job. Especially when you see what’s happening in Los Angeles and you look at the way they’re running their states, it’s unbelievable,” Trump said Thursday.
