Continua claims that artificial intelligence agents can reduce group chat chaos by joining conversations and providing useful information only when needed.

While the group discusses joint projects and plans, Continua can automatically set reminders, launch opinion polls, add evaluation calls or create Google documents with verification lists and task lists.

If the user forgets the group chat details, such as the time of the meeting or the site, it can simply direct Continua to the messages to order special information.

At first glance, Continua may seem like a direct application of artificial intelligence, but Petro says that getting LLMS to participate in a conversation with many people is a fairly complex technical problem. Since most artificial intelligence models are designed for conversations between one person and one assistant, Continua had to set LLMS to understand the dynamics of group chat discussions.

For example, the group members do not need to respond to everything they write.

“You want the agent to have social intelligence,” Petro said. He added that they should “break the LLM brain” to naturally integrate artificial intelligence into the conversations.

Users can call Continua when they need to help them or tell the agent to “back down” if it is often proportional.

Users can start with Consinua by adding his phone number to the collective SMS or his username for Discord.

While many companies, including Meta and Startup Hey UMAI, offer artificial intelligence agents, Petrou insists that Continua is more suitable for collective interactions.

Eric Norderder, the GV general partner, said his company invested in Petro even before the concept of the Continua Chat AI had completely organized it. “David is a really great engineer, a person has been working with artificial intelligence since before he was the hot thing.”
