Jacob Diwit, CEO of Oxo, is discussing the use of nuclear energy to operate various areas of technology on Claman.
Google, Kiros Power and Tennessee Valley Authority It agreed to provide 50 megawatts of nuclear energy for data centers in Tennessee and Alabama.
Companies say that the deal will help meet the high energy demand in the United States and enhance the country’s role in nuclear energy from the next generation.
Under the agreement, you will feed the Hermes 2 factory of Kairos in Oak Ridge up to 50 MW in the TVA network that serves Google’s facilities.
The TVA deal makes the first benefit to purchase energy from the Gen IV reactor. It also represents the first publication of Hermes 2 under the broader Keros Agreement with Google to provide 500 megawatts by 2035. Kairos plans to increase the production of Hermes 2 from 28 to 50 MW starting from 2030.

In October, Google signed a deal With Kairos to purchase nuclear energy from “multiple” small units reactors under development.
Kairos Power said at the time that the reactors “will be located in relevant service areas to provide clean energy for Google Data Centers” that begin in 203.
Google said this week that the reactor will provide electricity to its data centers in Montgomery, Tennessee, Jackson Province, Alabama.

“With this next step, we create a three -party solution where energy, facilities and technology developers work together to enhance new technologies that can help meet the growing energy needs in the world with reliable ability and affordable prices,” said Google.
The company added: “In this initial stage of cooperation, we will buy clean energy features from the factory through TVA to help operate our data centers in the region using clean energy from local sources, every hour of every day.”

Standard energy needs have pushed energy consumption to their highest levels and support for the next nuclear generation.
The Google-Kairos deal will eventually support 500 megawatts of advanced nuclear capacity-for example to about 350,000 homes.
Google Not alone in the transition to nuclear.
Microsoft has concluded a 20 -year power purchase agreement with Constellation last year, which could restart the Three Mile Island reactor in Pennsylvania. Amazon announced three deals that focus on nuclear weapons in October with Energy Northwest, X-Energy and Dominion Energy.
Network strategies reports increase the demand for electricity in the United States by 15.8 % by 2029, driven by data, manufacturing and electricity centers.
The International Energy Agency expects that electricity in the American data center will use 130 % between 2024 and 2030.
