“Ghani here lives in poor neighborhoods,” says Sohael Seth that India has the worst civilian engineers, Gorgram is a guide

The author and businessman said that Gurugram may includes the richest and largest companies in India, but its infrastructure is “similar to the slums”, and the country’s civilian engineering is “the worst.”

Speaking to Annie Podcast, Seth did not back down. “We have the worst civilian engineers in India. Certainly. They have blurred the use of technology in civil planning and infrastructure. We have no care,” he said.

After a sharp contradiction with China, Seth recalled a flight with the Consultative Council of British Airways to Beijing – after the Olympics. “When we got to the airport, we saw 60 % of its closure. I asked why. They said it was planned in 2040. In India, we are still building using thinking in 1947.”

Seth, known for his explicit views, is unprecedented on Gurugram – a city claiming to embody infrastructure failures in India. “The headquarters of some of the largest companies in India there is-Coca-Cola, EY, Heromotocorp, Apollo, Max, Fortis. But the city lacks the basic infrastructure. It’s strange. The richest people live in slum environments.”

He criticized the legend of Gurugram, noting that it was not built by seeing politics but by indirect companies. “It did not grow due to the Hindustan crane. It has grown because GENPACT came first for the rear office operations. The city flourished about it, and it did not plan.”

This is not the first Seth Produid against NCR. In a modern post on X, he mocked the chronic floods in the area: “NCR is the only place on this planet that can boast of two cases side by side. Gurugram and Delhi.” Gurugram also called “a shame for this country” in an Indian Express hosted committee.

He said: “Every year, without government help, we create Venice to enjoy people,” referring to the streets flooded by floods, garbage piles and strange statistics that alcohol exceeds the number of work signals in the city.
