The French movie star Gérard Depardieu was condemned by sexual assault on two women in a film appointed to a trial in Paris and was given a 18 -month prison sentence.

The 76 -year -old actor was accused by the two women of calming them while working in a movie in 2021. Debarardio denied allegations against him and his lawyer said he would appeal.

The court in Paris found that one of the women, a specific designer called Ameli, provided fixed evidence while the actor’s accounts changed over time. She then told reporters that she was “very move” and satisfied with the ruling, which was for her “victory, a big step forward.”

Depardieu was also convicted of assaulting an assistant director named Sarah.

The actor was not in the court to hear the ruling, but he was instead of this on a movie in the Azawer.

Karen Dorio Debolt, the lawyer who works for the two women, said she hopes to judge the verdict at the end of the impunity for an artist in the film industry.

She told reporters: “It is a victory for a woman in a group of films, but it is a victory for all women behind this issue and I am thinking about all other victims of DePardieu.”

The lawyer also indicated that the case ended hours before the start of the Cannes Film Festival.

With the delivery of the suspended prison term, the judge also placed DePardieu on the list of sexual crimes perpetrators and ordered him to pay compensation worth 1000 euros (840 pounds) for each of them amélie and Sarah due to “secondary abuse”, which is a modern innovation that covers the additional suffering of women from the same trial.

Deparadieu Jérémie Assous’s lawyer accused women of lying during their evidence.

The alleged attacks were made in September 2021 when DePardieu made a movie called Les Volets Verts (green shutters) about an aging actor dealing with his declining powers.

This was the first trial of Depardio on sexual assault charges. Several other women have provided similar allegations in the media, and the alleged rape issue can be tried in the future.

After the trial, the actor was invited to join his close friend and colleague Fannie ARDANT to film a movie in the Azour.

At the end of the trial in Paris in late March, Prosecutor Laurent Jay said: “It is quite possible to be an excellent actor and a great father – and he is still committing a crime.

“You are not here to decide the ruling on French cinema. You are here to judge Gerard Depardio, just as you do with any other citizen.”

Claude Vincent, who represents one of the two women, was described as “hatred for women” and a “case of sexual discrimination”.

DePardieu’s lawyer demanded innocence and called on the plaintiffs team, “More militants are more than lawyers.”

“They cannot bear that there should be a defense. They believe that any defense is an additional attack,” he told the court.

The first prosecutor – Ameli Decor Group – told the court that after a simple argument with Depardio, he held it between his legs and detained it by the hips.

The second woman – the director of the director Sarah – said that the actress touched the buttocks and the breasts through her clothes on three separate occasions.

Depaardieu denied these allegations, saying only that he might have been mistakenly touched or maintained women.

At the end of the listening sessions, Depardieu said: “My name has been withdrawn through mud by lies and insults.

“The trial can be a very special experience for an actor. Seeing all this anger, police, and press. It seems to be in a science fiction movie, except that it is not a scientific imagination. It’s life.”

He thanked the prosecution and defense teams for giving him an insightful look at how the courts work. “These lessons may be a source of inspiration for me one day if I get a lawyer,” he said.

Depardio said he had not worked as an actor for three years since sexual allegations began against him.

But earlier this month, it was reported that he started working in the Azwara in a movie directed by his friend, actress Vanie Ardant. Depaardieu plays the role of the magician on a mysterious island, according to media reports.

Ardant appeared with DePardieu in Les Volets Verts and spoke in his defense in the trial.

She said: “Genius – in any way it requires – carries an element of proteins, UNTAMED, dangerous.

Another veteran French actress took the DePardieu team on Monday. In a rare interview with French television, Brigitte Bardot, 90, exhausted how “talented people who touch the girl’s buttocks are transported to the deepest cell.”

“Feminism is not something,” said Bardo. “Personally, I love men.”
