The Sebastian Fundora vs. Keith Thurman fight will be moved to the co-feature spot on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero card on January 24 in Las Vegas.

Two sticks, one card

A Fundora-Thurman and Pacquiao-Rule fight is fitting. Both are competing with older fighters who have done nothing for a world title shot, as these fighters have been mostly inactive for the past three to four years. Thurman has fought just once in the last three years.

Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs) had to postpone his previously scheduled October 25 title defense for the WBC junior middleweight belt against Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) due to a left hand injury.

Thurman is still angry

‘One Time’ Thurman is angry about the postponement, and suspects ‘The Towering Inferno’ has felt hesitant for one reason or another about fighting him in October. It’s not clear why Fundora would be concerned about fighting the 36-year-old Thurman when the contest is expected to be quite a mismatch.

Mike Coppinger He revealed that the Fundora-Thurman fight has been moved to the Pacquiao-Romero card.

Pacquiao Revival Tour II

In the main event, the 47-year-old Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) fights for the second time since coming out of a four-year layoff on July 19, 2025, against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

The two fighters fought to a 12-round draw. The fight drew a lot of criticism due to Pacquiao getting a world title shot that he didn’t have. It’s a ridiculous thing about boxing when a fighter can be retired for four years and then immediately get a world title shot without fighting even once.

Rolly movement for cash withdrawal

WBA champion Rolly Romero doesn’t mind Pacquiao not setting up a world title fight. He sees this as a nice financial fight for him. It also allows him to claim his title shot before the IBF forces him to defend against mandatory challenger Shakram Giasov. This is a fight that Rowley will likely lose.

Pacquiao getting another title shot after that draw seems ridiculous, but it shows what that focus is. This is about money. If Pacquiao has to win a fight against Rolly by taking on the WBA’s No. 1 contender, Giasov, he’s going to have a lot of trouble.
