France struck the protests while Prime Minister Sebastian Licorno takes office

France sees a day of protests led by a popular movement named Let’s prevent everything (“Let’s prevent everything”) in an anger against the political class and the proposed budget discounts.

Demonstrations are taking place on the same day that the new Prime Minister Sebastian Lecorno was sworn in the wake of his predecessor, Francois Bayro, in a vote without confidence earlier this week.

The demonstrators prevented the streets, set fire to the boxes, and disrupted access to infrastructure and schools throughout the country.

Interior Minister Bono Retailio said about 250 people were arrested due to mid -morning.

He added that the bus was rooted in Rin and the electric cables were sabotaged near Toulouse.

Several thousand people gathered in Paris, Marcel, Bordeaux and Montpellier.

However, the turmoil remained somewhat small. Most of the arrests were performed in or around Paris, where about 1,000 demonstrators – many protesters or wearing a celava – clashed with the police outside the Gare du nord train station.

Some tried to enter the station, but it was thwarted by the agents who fired tear gas and the French media report.

Several demonstrators chanted political slogans against President Emmanuel Macron and Legono. He carried many banners against the war in Gaza.

It seems that the mysterious movement let’s prevent everything that was born on social media a few months ago and gained momentum during the summer, when it encouraged people to protest the Bayro budget discounts of 44 billion euros (38 billion pounds).

The movement has a distinguished leftist personality. Its demands include more investment in public services, taxes on high income brackets, freezing lease and Macron resignation.

A group of young demonstrators outside the Gare du Nord told the BBC that they were taking the streets in “solidarity” with people in unstable situations throughout France.

Lecorno is Macron and the fifth prime minister in the country in less than two years.

His appointment has already been criticized by the far and right.

He will first need to reach a palatable budget for the majority of deputies in Parliament suspended in France – the same difficult endeavor that dropped its predecessors.

France’s deficit reached 5.8 % of GDP in 2024, but the three distinguished ideological groups in the association divided deeply do not agree on how to address the crisis.

The extremist extremist party has already said that it will put a confidence movement in Lecornu as soon as possible.

However, this movement will need support by other parties to pass it. As is the case, the largest parliamentary party – the right -wing National Rally – said that it will “listen to what Lecorno said” albeit “without many delusions.”

In a brief speech after handing over the authority at the Prime Minister’s residence, Likorno Bayro thanked his work and promised the French people: “We will get there.”

“The instability and the political crisis that we are going through through sobriety and humility,” said Likorno.

“We will have to be more creative and more serious, in the way we work with the opposition.”
