On Saturday, France announced a “historic” agreement with New Calidonia, in which the external lands, which are vibrating with deadly separatist violence last year, will remain French, but it is announced a new country. President Emmanuel Macron called for talks to break the deadline between the forces loyal to France and those who want independence, and asked the officials elected in the new Calidonians, as well as the leaders of the political, economic and civil society to meet near Paris to clarify an additional framework for the region.
