One of the suspects was arrested after the attack near the Central Al -Sadd Square in the capital of the Netherlands.

Police said that at least four people were injured in an attack in the Netherlands capital in Amsterdam.

A suspect was arrested after the accident on Thursday near the Central Al -Sadd Square.

“The motivation is still not clear, but it is part of our investigation,” police said in a social media statement.

There was no immediate information about the condition of the wounded.

A shock helicopter fell in Al -Sadd Square to tend to the victims, while police trucks and ambulances were also present.

Police said the attack took place on a nearby street at about 3:30 pm (14:30 GMT). The box was cordoned out and reopened about two hours later.

The photos from the local news agency ANP showed a person on a mobile that is loaded at the back of an ambulance.

According to local media reports, the mayor of Amsterdam, Vesky Halsima, left a meeting in the city hall when the news of the attack broke out.

Police said earlier that five people were injured in the attack, but later showed that the suspect was among the injured.

“The suspect overcame the help of a citizen … when his leg was injured, he was taken to the hospital,” police said in a social media post.
